Reducing building operating costs and CO2 emissions while increasing convenience for users: the aim of room automation is to create comfortable room conditions using as little energy as possible. And high energy efficiency not only benefits the environment – it reduces operating costs for users too.
We spend most of our time in enclosed rooms. Room conditions therefore play a key role in our health, well-being and productivity at work. The key factors here are influenced by various groups of systems in the building, e.g. HVAC (room temperature, air quality) and electrics (lighting and shading). In order to keep control of these factors, various groups of systems need to interact. This is possible thanks to automation functions which work across system groups and the use of suitable components. When it comes to room automation, SBC offers various products which allow intuitive operation of the different room functions. A distinction is made between control systems (room controllers) and room operating devices. Which components are used depends on the tasks involved.
